ABOUT THE LIBRARY

Introduction

The library at the Faculty of Health was opened in 1990. The two-storey library is divided into several functional units: a free shelf borrowing space, store, cloakroom, librarian’s study room and a reading room with 76 seats. The library’s holdings contain 22.000 books and bound journals, and 7700 Thesis Works by students. The library subscribes for 30 printed journals and via the subscribed database of the University of Debrecen it has access to thousands of journals, mainly in foreign languages. The library’s collection has been adjusted to professional literature required by our training programs. This collection includes the following fields:

  • medical and health science
  • psychology
  • informatics
  • computer science
  • sociology
  • social care
  • law
  • fiction

Documents

Regarding the type of documents, the collection includes books, journals, thesis works and electronic data media. As for the languages, the collection contains documents in Hungarian,  English, German and Latin.
