Department of Emergency and Oxyology

The Oxiology Department was founded in 2000 under the leadership of Dr. Szép Imre associate professor. It was the predecessor of the Emergency and Oxiology Department. The lecturers in the department are experts who have interdisciplinary, oxiology knowledge and represent the various fields of health science. They represent the segments of emergency and clinical health care.

Educational profile

The staff members of the department take part in teaching the theory and practice of subjects in connection with Oxiology and Rescue technique in the Bachelor programme. In these lessons students get to know and learn medical interventions professionally and safely in emergency patient care circumstances, as well as they become skilled in using the applied rescue techniques, appliances and instruments.

Evening of the Profession

  • Every year in November our students organize the traditional Evening of the Profession. The high standard lectures are followed by a dinner together.

Rescue Show

  • The staff and the students of our department organized a large-scale and impressive rescue show on 25th anniversary of the Faculty

Health Days

  • Term after term, our students, representing our department, take part in the Health Days, which are organized by primary and secondary schools.

International Day of Heart

  • The staff and students of our department take part in the programmes of the International Day of Heart every year.

Competitions

  • True to the traditions, the students of our department take part in the national competition for Paramedic students every year, in which they achieve itoutstanding results.
